The Village Feast

The Parish feast dedicated to our patron saint St Anne is celebrated on the last weekend of July. St Anne is the mother of the holy Mary and its feast, originally is celebrated on the 26 th of July. The colours that designate our feast are the traditional green and orange which are related to the colours found on St Anne’s statue. However nowadays green is also used as the main colour that symbolizes hope which represents our patron saint for couples expecting or wanting children as the patron saint of fertility.

The feast decorations group is responsible to decorate a number of streets in the village core where the procession of St Anne, passes through on feast day. The group has embarked on a number of projects where new decorative street furniture such as new banners and statues are being made to decorate the streets of our beautiful village, during the feast week.
